Quota BR Marks 90th Anniversary Supporting CASA
This year's primary beneficiary is Capital Area Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
CASA supports abused and neglected children placed in foster care. This organization recruits, screens, trains, and supervises community volunteers as advocates who spend time with children and everyone involved in a case and provide detailed, firsthand information to judges about what is in that child's best interest. The information helps judges make well-informed decisions regarding the child's future. Having a CASA volunteer can make a significantimpact on the lives of abused or neglected children.
Proceeds from this gala will also support Quota Baton Rouge’s community programs, which helped more than 1,200 community members in 2024. These programs range from assisting Magnolia Woods Elementary to enhancing facilities at the Louisiana School for the Deaf.
Founded in 1935, Quota Baton Rouge is one of the city’s longest-standing philanthropic organizations dedicated to supporting women, children, and the deaf and hard of hearing.
